Job Description:
Larson Design Group is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is ready to join a strong and well-respected team in the Energy consulting engineering industry. The fast-paced nature of this industry gives team members the opportunity to aid in the planning, design and execution of numerous high-value projects with the immediate reward and learning associated with witnessing your project’s construction. This position will sit in LDG’s Williamsport office with a tenured team of professionals excited to help our new team member and the team as a whole grow to new levels.
- This position will be responsible for completing basic to intermediate civil engineering drafting and design tasks, applying engineering principles and making informed decisions.
- Uses AutoDesk Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and other Civil Engineering-related software programs to develop technically accurate and high-quality deliverables.
- Aid in development of stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and construction plans while under the direction of a Professional Engineer. Ability to analyze design alternatives to develop cost-effective solutions to project challenges.
- Coordinates the preparation of advanced multi-discipline drawing sets as required for assigned projects, including coordination with technical, administrative, and other design staff.
- Promotes, utilizes, and supports quality assurance and quality control processes to improve the quality of deliverables and reduce design errors and omissions.
- Researches, reviews, interprets, and understands written design standards, regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements and applies them to design projects.
- Assists with design calculations, calculates quantities, reviews technical specifications, and prepares cost estimates.
Requirements/Preferences
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Zero (0) to three (3) years job-related experience.
- EIT or ability to obtain EIT preferred.
- Possess strong independent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, Hydraflow Hydrographs, and other civil related software experience preferred.
